In case you haven't heard, the alternative/indie rock band SNACK has returned to Northern New Jersey, back from their tour of the outer North Atlantic coastal island villages and their now infamous and brief stint on the Danish "Real World".  Hailed by the Christian Science Monitor as "the shizzzit," this raucous power trio is looking forward to again displaying its musical "verite" for the listening public.  Get ready for those molten riffs, be-bopping skins, "dont' tell mama I stole the chicken" bass lines and glorious pained screams of agony!  Snack is back and the restraining order has been lifted!"

Just some quick info. on what we've been doing and what lies ahead.  We had two great shows in January at The Continental and The Wreck Room (RIP) at which we debuted four new songs.  You can hear these songs from the Continental show on the "Sounds" page.  The last two months we've just kind of been taking it easy, just jamming and writing some more new songs.  We've also invested in some semi-pro recording gear so we can record our new stuff at our on pace and on our own dime from now on.  So stay tuned for a new demo sometime this year. hopefully before the summer.

Happy New Year from SNACK!!  Two great pieces of news.  SNACK will be playing some gigs next week in NYC and North Jersey.  We will be playing the Continental in NYC again on Wed., Jan., 12 and then we are rocking the Wreck Room in Wallington on Thurs., Jan. 13.  We've got 4 brand new songs that we will be playing at these shows, so show some support and make an appearance.  We will make it worth your while.

Well, I couldn't let a whole day pass without talking about SNACK's best live show to date which we put on yesterday at the legendary Stone Pony in Asbury Park.  Special thanks to our biggest fan Paul for helping out with the T-Shirt sales during the show.

In other SNACK news, the recording and mastering of our Demo has been completed and we will have copies available shortly.  It came out really amazing.  Thanks to Richard Kirk and Network Studios for doing such a great job on the CD.  Drop us an e-mail if you want one or just come on out to one of our next shows to get one.

Sorry for the long gap in News but I've been really backed up.  But there is lots of great news!!

First off, we played a tight set last Monday at CBGBs.  Thanks to everyone who came out.  The crowd was awesome!

Lastly, SNACK will be in the studio this weekend to record several of our newer songs to hopefully put a Demo together that will make us RICH and FAMOUS or at the very least, make us happy.  Stay tuned for details on the Demo.

Well, sad to say that SNACK, despite rocking The Saint last night, didn't move on to the next round of the 5th Annual JerseyShows.com BOTB.  We had a great time though and even debuted 2 smokin' new songs for all you ravenous SNACK fiends.

Stealing some material from Jack Black - "You can change history with one great rock show."  Well, I don't know if SNACK changed history this past Sunday at the Sawmill ... but we sure put on one great rock show along with our friend Joe Riavez and his cousin Rick!  Thanks to Joe, Rick and all you awesome people that made our showcase at The Sawmill such a great success.
